Day Beds

Day beds combine a comfortable single bed with the relaxed, sofa-like feel of a daytime seat — a practical choice for smaller bedrooms, playrooms or teenage rooms that need to work as a place to sleep, read and hang out. Many of our day beds also include a pull-out trundle or guest bed underneath, giving you a second sleeping space for sleepovers without permanently taking up extra floor space.

Choose from day beds with built-in storage drawers, open shelving and pull-out trundle beds, made by established UK and European manufacturers including Parisot, Thuka and Kids Avenue. Depending on the design, you can add a mattress for the trundle, or matching bedroom storage — see each product page for exactly what's included.

A day bed is a good option if you want a bed that reads as a sofa during the day, need an occasional spare bed for visiting friends or family, or are furnishing a smaller room where a separate guest bed isn't practical. For a bed used every night by a second child, our bunk beds or full-size single beds may be a better long-term fit.
